As an intern, Brittany participated in projects focused on health, education, and information technology management. She now specializes in technology solutions at Anthem in Indianapolis.
Education, and Avocations
Brittany received her bachelor of science degree in health services management at IUPUI. She is a volunteer and youth advocate who places great importance on the advancement of youth in areas such as health, education, and supportive social relationships. Her hobbies include music, theatre, baking, dance, and dining.
For her summer internship, Lauren researched nonprofit organizations, met the executive directors and boards of several Aspen Impact clients, produced short videos, familiarized herself with geographic information systems, and visited field sites in Indianapolis and at Indiana University’s Bradford Woods experiential learning center. Lauren now works at the Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency in New York City.

Lauren graduated from The George Washington School of Business in Washington, DC. She studied business administration with a concentration in economics and public policy. She also spent a year as a visiting student at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Her interests include traveling, volunteering, and classical singing.
Bryan "Xavi" Gilmer
Bryan "Xavi" Gilmer’s summer internship focused on nonprofit research and video production. He is now an analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Education and Avocations
Xavi earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics at Harvard University. Beyond the world of finance, he is especially interested in issues pertaining to immigration policy reform. He enjoys music and travel. His nickname of “Xavi” reflects his interest in French and is also a nod to a player on his favorite European soccer team, Barcelona.
Nathaniel focused on client projects in education during his internship at Aspen Impact. He is now active in community development and education at the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia.
Professional skills, education, and avocations
Nathaniel graduated from Butler University, where he studied economics and philosophy. He also has an associates degree in photography and over three years of experience as a substitute teacher for early childhood centers, afterschool programs, and summer programs for children and youth.
Nathaniel combines his design skills, analytical thinking, business background, and passion for education to advance mission-driven organizations. His hobbies include reading, writing, photography, the arts, and biking.
As an intern, Stefan conducted projects on philanthropy and design thinking. He has done subsequent work in private equity in Washington, DC.
Education and avocations
Stefan is an undergraduate at Harvard University. He enjoys biking and hiking, plus visiting his native country of Bulgaria.
